
According to the authorities, one person was killed and another five were injured during a shooting at Rolling Oaks Mall after two men robbed a jewelry store.
“The robbery had gone really, really bad,” said San Antonio Police Chief William McManus described the situation.
The police chief said that there were two suspects, who robbed the jewelry store and two Samaritans tried to intervene.
While intervening one of the good Samaritans was shot and killed by one of the suspects.
The other good Samaritan, who was carrying a licensed concealed weapon with him, shot and wounded that suspect.
The wounded suspect was detained by the police, while the other suspect managed to flee away from the scene.
According to police the other suspect kept firing his weapon as he fled away. On late Sunday evening (January 22) police tweeted that they have captured the second suspect.
