Hrithik Roshan's much-discussed special appearance in Jailer 2 is gaining even more excitement. It has been reported that music composer Anirudh Ravichander is making a unique background score for Hrithik's role in the movie, with the creators seeing this scene as a significant moment on stage.
Information from those involved suggests that Anirudh, recognized for creating popular tunes and hits in various industries, is developing a dynamic background music specifically for Hrithik's action-packed cameo. This new score is anticipated to enhance Hrithik's entry and highlight an important moment in the story. The cameo is important for several reasons. It will reunite Hrithik Roshan with Rajinikanth on screen after almost 40 years. The two actors previously worked together in the 1986 action film Bhagwaan Dada, where a young Hrithik played the adopted son of Rajinikanth’s character. This movie is still considered one of Hrithik's earliest roles before he became a leading star in Bollywood.
After some talks, Hrithik has officially joined the cast for Jailer 2 and is expected to film his scenes in Chennai on June 22 and 23. Sources from Hrithik Roshan's team shared this news with NDTV, mentioning that several look tests are currently being conducted for his character. Insiders describe Hrithik's part as action-driven and crucial to the plot. His role is said to appear at an important point in the film and drives the storyline forward. Hrithik's involvement comes after previous discussions with Shah Rukh Khan about a cameo, which could not proceed due to scheduling issues. Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Sun Pictures, Jailer 2 features a stellar cast that includes Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, Vijay Sethupathi, Mithun Chakraborty, SJ Suryah, Ramya Krishnan, Vidya Balan, and Yogi Babu.
With Rajinikanth making a comeback to one of his most popular recent franchises, Hrithik Roshan joining the sequel for an important cameo, and Anirudh Ravichander creating a special score for this scene, Jailer 2 is gearing up to provide one of its most exciting moments ahead of its expected release in September 2026. An official announcement about Hrithik's casting is still pending.
