Telugu Desam Mahanadu organized in the city of Dallas on 27th and 28th May for the first time has been the tough time for leaders existing at the event.

The leaders said, "We did not expect this kind of response from people of Dallas. We cannot ideate that there is such an opposition for TDP by Dallas people. There is an umpteen group outside the event protesting than the people inside. This is a downright failure for Mahanadu organizers."

According to Telugu Non-Resident Indian committee, about 100,000 Telugu NRIs all across the country have been protesting at Mahanadu in Dallas wearing black clothing with a placards, banners raising anti-government slogans that TDP government unsuccessful in gaining special status for Andhra Pradesh.
