Police Arrest Five In Federal Probe Of ATM Shimming Scheme At Hollywood Area

Hollywood:
The police Authorities served arrest warrants to five people, in the Hollywood area accused in relation with bank fraud scheme, by using gadgets and employing other devices to steal information from Automatic teller machines.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation spokes person Laura Eimiller told that three of four defendants charged in the federal criminal complaint with conspiracy to commit bank fraud and aggravated identity that were taken in to custody this morning without incident.
The FBI identified the arrested suspects in the complaint as Cosmin Mihai Cozma, aged 41;
Richard Ryan Mirron, aged 43; and Kasey Tcaciuc, aged 33.
Along with those two more suspects were arrested at the location and warrants were served, they were identified as Sebastian-Alin Marita and Gogu-Alin Tipurita, were expected to be charged with a criminal complaint against them, Emiler said in a report.
The another suspect name was not revealed by FBI and Torrance police as that individual remained outstanding.
“The continuing investigation involves allegations that the defendants took part in a credit card fraud ring that they operated, in part, by inserting `shimming’ devices in many ATMs at various banks throughout Southern California,” Emiler told in a Report.
The Investigation was jointly conducted by the Torrance police and the FBI which was participated by few personnel from the U.S Attorney office.
