On Friday, Bahrain announced it’s approval on the emergency use of the Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus vaccine, after Britain, this is the second country to go ahead with the drug.

According to a statement carried by the official Bahrain News Agency, CEO of the National Health Regulatory Authority, Mariam al-Jalahma  said, "The approval of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine will add a further important layer to the kingdom's national Covid-19 response.”

So far, US Manama didn’t mention any details about when the vaccine would be rolled by US pharmaceuticals giant Pfizer and its German partner BioNTech.

On Wednesday, for general use, Britain approved the Covid-19 vaccine and by next week, they have plans to roll it out.
