Honor Power 2 was introduced in China in January, featuring a 10,080mAh battery, which was said to be the biggest battery in an Honor phone. Now, the technology company has revealed plans to unveil the new Honor X80 Pro Max next week, which will have an even bigger battery. Along with announcing the release date, the company has also given hints about the design of the new smartphone, as well as the available colors and charging capabilities. It appears to have a round camera setup on the back with one lens. Additionally, there will be a hole-punch cutout on the display for the front camera. On Monday, the smartphone maker shared on Weibo that the Honor X80 Pro Max will be released in China on June 22 at 7 pm local time (4:30 pm IST). Along with the release date, the company confirmed that the new Honor X80 Pro Max will come with an 11,000mAh battery. This indicates that the phone will have a battery larger than that of the Honor Power 2, which was released in China on January 6 and has a 10,080mAh battery along with 80W wired fast charging, all within a 7.98mm thick body weighing around 216g.

The new Honor X80 Pro Max will also feature support for 90W wired fast charging and 27W wired reverse charging. Additionally, it has been confirmed that this smartphone will be available in four color choices: Lightning Red, Moonlight White, Mystic Black, and Vibrant Orange (translated from Chinese). In terms of appearance, the Honor X80 Pro Max will showcase a flat back panel with a circular camera module. The Honor logo will be centered at the bottom of this panel. Furthermore, the device will include a single 50-megapixel Matrix AI Vision camera system, along with an LED flash. The right side of the phone will have the power button and volume buttons, while the left side will remain plain. The new Honor X80 Pro Max is currently available for pre-order in China through the Honor online store. This follows a report that mentioned the Honor X80 Pro Max will have a 6.8-inch (1,280 x 2,788 pixels) OLED display. The smartphone is expected to be powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 processor from Qualcomm. The company is also likely to announce the regular Honor X80 model.
